Who Books a Car Service to ABE

Lehigh Valley Airport Car Service: Drive Times and When to Leave
From most of the Valley, ABE is a 10- to 30-minute ride, nearly all on US 22. The slow spots are the MacArthur Road and Airport Road interchanges at rush hour and the Lehigh River bridge after a fender-bender.

When to Leave for Your Flight
TSA advises arriving 2 hours before a domestic flight, 3 before an international one. ABE’s checkpoint is usually quick, but the 5 a.m. line can surprise you. Times are from downtown Allentown; add about 10 minutes from Easton.

At the Terminal
ABE is a one-terminal airport with a short departures curb, so drop-off takes 1 or 2 minutes. The early departures leave close together, which is why the checkpoint line can build before dawn. Coming home, baggage claim is a short walk from the arrival gates, and the curb is right outside.
Coming Home Through ABE
For the return ride, send your flight number, the date, how many bags you checked and a cell number that’s on when you land. Dispatch plans the pickup from the arrival time you send, so tell us if the flight changes. Your confirmation names the meeting point we use at ABE and says how waiting time is handled.
Snow, Holidays and Missed Connections
From December through March, snow on US 22 can add 10 to 20 minutes, and de-icing can hold a flight at the gate. The bigger risk is the connection: one late inbound at the hub and you may be rebooked into PHL or Newark at midnight. Send us the new arrival and ask whether we can collect you there. How Early Should I Leave for a 6 a.m. Flight from ABE?
