Philadelphia airport car service: the bright concourse of Terminal A-West at Philadelphia International Airport

PHL airport rides

Philadelphia Airport Car Service from the Lehigh Valley

Our Philadelphia airport car service runs from your door anywhere in the Lehigh Valley to the right PHL terminal, usually south on the Turnpike’s Northeast Extension (I-476), then the Blue Route and I-95. Send the flight, your bag count and, if you have it, the terminal; we’ll come back with a pickup time and a written quote.

Quick Quote Start with the Trip Basics

Car Service from the Lehigh Valley to Philadelphia Airport

Philadelphia International Airport is where the Valley flies when ABE doesn’t have the route: nonstops to the West Coast and overseas, and fares that sometimes drop enough to justify the drive. It’s also more than an hour each way: a lot to ask of a friend at 3 a.m., and a lot of garage days to pay for.

Typical riders: a couple off to Europe on the evening flight, a family of 5 with a nonstop to Phoenix, a consultant who’d rather answer email on the Extension than drive it. Need the car to wait for you in the city? That’s hourly black car service.

Sedan, SUV or a PHL Airport Limo?

A PHL airport limo sounds right until the bags come out: a stretch limo carries light bags only. For a couple with 2 big suitcases, the business sedan is the better fit; a family of 6 with luggage needs the premium SUV, and a group of up to 14 rides in the Executive Sprinter. See the fleet page.

Booking Your PHL Ride

For PHL, add the terminal if you have it, and say whether the flight is international: that detail alone moves the pickup by about an hour.

  1. Send the Flight and Bags

Give the flight time, your street address and how many bags, ski bags included. Flying back into PHL? Add the return flight now.

  2. Flat Rate Down the Extension

Dispatch sets the pickup time from the Northeast Extension drive at that hour, then quotes a flat price per vehicle, each way, spelling out in writing what it covers.

  3. Out and Back, Confirmed

Accept, and your confirmation spells out the pickup time, your address, the person to call and where we’ll meet you at PHL on the way back. Keep it on your phone.

Philadelphia Airport Car Service: Route and Drive Times

The usual line is the Northeast Extension (I-476) south past Quakertown and Lansdale, the Blue Route from the Mid-County interchange, then I-95 to the terminals: about 60 to 70 miles from Allentown. When the Extension jams, Route 309 is the fallback.

When to Leave Home for a PHL Flight

Each time starts from TSA’s 2-hour domestic and 3-hour international guidance, then adds the drive from Allentown or Bethlehem and a little slack. The PHL timing guide breaks it down by terminal.

Terminals A-West Through F

The terminals run A-West, A-East, then B through F, along one departures road that sorts traffic by terminal. Miss the lane and it’s a loop back around, so the terminal or airline belongs on your request.

Car Service from Philadelphia Airport to Allentown, PA

Coming home is the half people forget to book. After an overnight flight from Europe, nobody wants to piece together a train into Center City and a bus north. Send the flight number, the terminal, the bag count and a number that works when you land. Afternoon arrivals meet the northbound rush on I-95 and the Blue Route, so go by the weekday rush times in the drive-time table above. Prearranged pickups at PHL usually happen on the baggage-claim side, and your confirmation gives the exact spot.

Holidays, Mondays and Weather

Monday mornings and holiday weeks run long at PHL. Around Thanksgiving, Christmas and spring break, add 20 to 30 minutes to the table. Snow tends to slow the Extension between Quakertown and Lansdale, and summer thunderstorms can hold flights on the ground for hours; look up your flight status before we roll.

Why Valley Travelers Book PHL with DT Goods

On a run this long, we talk the timing through with you before anything is booked.

  • Based in Orefield

We’re about 15 minutes from Allentown and from ABE, so Route 22 at rush hour, I-78 truck traffic and the Turnpike ramps are old news to us.

  • One Request, Any Size

A sedan for 2 or a coach for 56: the same form, the same people, one quote.

  • Always with a Chauffeur or Driver

Nothing here is self-drive. Every booking comes with someone behind the wheel whose job is getting your people there.

  • The Quote Comes in Writing

You see the price before anything is booked, and no card is ever taken on this website.

  • Timing Planned Backward

We start from the time that can’t move (a flight, a dinner reservation, a ceremony or a kickoff) and work back to the pickup, with room for traffic or a snowy morning.

  • Past the Valley, Still One Contact

When a trip starts somewhere else in the country, we arrange it through partner operators and you keep talking to us.

PHL Car Service from Allentown: What It Costs

A PHL quote moves most with 2 things: how far your street is from the Turnpike and the size of the vehicle. The ride home is quoted as its own one-way fare. Turnpike tolls are part of every run down the Extension; see what goes into airport pricing.

Airport Rates Are Flat, per Vehicle

An airport transfer is one price for the car, door to terminal, set by your pickup town, the airport, the vehicle and the hour you travel. The How Pricing Works section of our quote page explains how quotes are built.

Car Service to Philadelphia Airport: Questions

Price and drive time come first here, then terminals, the ride home, which highway we take and whether ABE would suit you better.

How Much Is a Car Service from Allentown to Philadelphia Airport?

You pay one flat price for the vehicle each way, quoted to your street, and a sedan for 2 costs less than an SUV for 5 with ski bags. Turnpike tolls, any airport parking on a pickup and gratuity are the lines to look for, and the written quote spells out what’s covered. Read how pricing works, then send a request through the quote form for your number.

How Long Does the Bethlehem to Philadelphia Airport Drive Take?

Usually 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 45 minutes, a bit longer than from Allentown because Bethlehem sits farther from the Turnpike. In the 4 p.m. crawl on I-95 and the Blue Route, plan on 2 hours or more. From Easton to Philadelphia airport, add roughly another 10 to 15 minutes.

Which PHL Terminal Do International Flights Leave From?

Terminal A, mostly. It’s split into A-West and A-East, though some flights to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean can go from other terminals depending on the airline. Your boarding pass or the airline’s app is the final word. If you don’t know the terminal when you book, the airline name is enough to plan the curb.

Can You Pick Me Up at PHL and Drive Me Home to Bethlehem?

Yes, and booking both directions at once is simplest. We need the same details as on the way out, plus the arrival terminal. After an international flight, customs comes before the curb, so say if the flight is coming from abroad. We’ll send the meeting point with your confirmation.

Do You Take the Northeast Extension or Route 309?

The Northeast Extension is usually faster, and it’s the default from most of the Valley. Route 309 earns its place when there’s a crash on the Extension or the Mid-County interchange has locked up: more traffic lights, but more ways around a problem. The roads run close together near Quakertown, so the call gets made on the day.

Should I Fly from PHL or ABE?

Compare the whole trip, not only the fare. ABE is 10 to 15 minutes from Allentown but mostly connects through hubs. PHL has far more nonstops, overseas flights included, at the cost of an hour-plus drive each way. If PHL saves a family a connection or real money on fares, the ride often earns its keep. Our ABE page has the short-run details.

Can Our Group of 10 Ride to PHL Together?

Yes. An Executive Sprinter has up to 14 seats and space for about 12 checked bags, so 10 people with a suitcase each usually fit. A bigger group can go in a minibus. Send the headcount and the bag count and we’ll quote the right size.

Other Airports and Rides

PHL not the right fit? We also drive to ABE and Newark, and the airports page covers JFK and LaGuardia.
