What Riders Across the Valley Book Us For
Most requests start with a time and a place. A 6:10 a.m. flight out of ABE. A ceremony in Bethlehem and a reception out past Macungie. A sales team landing at Newark that needs to be in Center Valley by lunch. A 40th birthday that starts in Emmaus, stops for dinner on Hamilton Street and ends at Wind Creek.
Here’s how that breaks down across the Valley:
- Airport runs. ABE for the short hop and the connection, PHL or Newark for nonstops and international flights, JFK or LaGuardia when the fare is worth the extra hour.
- Nights out. Phantoms hockey or a concert at the PPL Center, a show at SteelStacks, dinner around Centre Square in Easton.
- Weddings and proms. A limo for the couple, a shuttle for guests moving between the hotel, the ceremony and the reception, and the April-to-June run of proms.
- Office travel. Site visits along the I-78 warehouse corridor, roadshows between Allentown and Center Valley, visitors flying into ABE who need a ride to a hotel.
- Group days. Historic Bethlehem, Atlantic City, a Broadway matinee, Beaver Stadium on a fall Saturday.

Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton
The Lehigh Valley is 2 counties, Lehigh and Northampton, and 3 cities that grew up along the rivers. Car service in the Lehigh Valley runs a little differently in each one, so the pickup plan starts with which city you’re in.
Allentown
Allentown is the biggest of the 3 and the Lehigh County seat. Downtown runs along Hamilton Street, with restaurants, offices and the PPL Center at 7th Street. On event nights the blocks around the arena fill fast, so give us the exact door and the nearest cross street; after a show, the pickup is set a short walk from the arena, clear of the exit traffic. The West End holds Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest colleges, with Cedar Crest Boulevard as the quick way down to I-78. Dorney Park sits out along Hamilton Boulevard toward the highway, and Coca-Cola Park is on the East Side, a short run from Route 22.
Typical Allentown trips: early flights, with ABE usually 10 to 15 minutes from downtown and East Side addresses and a few minutes more from the West End or South Whitehall; IronPigs games, where a Sprinter or a minibus keeps a group of 12 or 30 together; Dorney Park days for camp groups and youth teams; and rides for Muhlenberg and Cedar Crest families flying in for move-in, family weekend or commencement. Orefield is a short drive from most Allentown addresses, so very little garage time goes into an Allentown quote.

Bethlehem
Bethlehem straddles both counties, and the Lehigh River splits it in 2. The north side is the old Moravian town: Main Street, Historic Hotel Bethlehem, Moravian University and the stone buildings around them. The streets are narrow and parking is tight, so before the day we agree with you on where a stretch limo can stop; if the street is too tight, a Sprinter limo for up to 12 is easier to place. The SouthSide sits below South Mountain, with Lehigh University climbing the hill, the restaurant blocks on 3rd and 4th Streets, and SteelStacks on the old Bethlehem Steel site, with Wind Creek beside it. The Hill-to-Hill and Fahy bridges join the 2 halves, Route 378 comes in from Route 22, and Route 412 runs up from I-78 to the casino. ABE is next door, 10 to 15 minutes from most addresses.
Bethlehem bookings run to weddings with photos along the river or under the blast furnaces, proms from April to June, SouthSide dinners and shows, Christkindlmarkt visits, and private Wind Creek round trips on the group’s own schedule. During Musikfest, streets close on both sides of the river, so drop-offs happen at the edge of the festival area. Tell us which side of the river you’re on; at 5 p.m., the bridge you need changes the pickup time.

Easton
Easton is the smallest of the 3 cities and the Northampton County seat, built where the Lehigh runs into the Delaware. Centre Square, with the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument and the Crayola Experience, is the flat part at the bottom of town. Lafayette College is up on College Hill, where the streets are steep enough that a stretch limo picks its route. Dorms and houses look alike after dark, so add a landmark to the address. New Jersey is a bridge away: the old Free Bridge on Northampton Street runs from downtown to Phillipsburg. Route 33 heads north to Stroudsburg and the Poconos.
Easton sits at the eastern end of I-78 in Pennsylvania, which gives it the Valley’s shortest run to Newark: about 1 hour to 1 h 30, against 1 h 30 to 2 hours for PHL. For a 7 a.m. domestic flight out of Newark, a pickup around 3:45 is a sensible start. ABE is 20 to 25 minutes west on Route 22, and Midtown Manhattan roughly 1 h 30 to 2 hours away. Easton riders book prom limos, weddings with receptions out toward Nazareth, dinners around Centre Square, Lafayette weekends and Crayola Experience birthday groups.

The Towns Between the Cities
Plenty of trips start in the boroughs and townships around the cities, and each corner of the Valley has its own road out:
- West: Fogelsville, Breinigsville, Trexlertown, Macungie and Emmaus, where the Turnpike meets I-78 and the distribution centers stretch along the highway.
- North: Orefield, Schnecksville, Whitehall, Coplay, Catasauqua and Northampton, strung along Route 309, MacArthur Road and the Lehigh River.
- East: Nazareth and Bath, closer to Route 33 than to anything else.
- South: Hellertown, Coopersburg and Center Valley, over South Mountain, where DeSales University and Penn State Lehigh Valley sit.

The Roads That Set the Pickup Time
Drive times here depend less on miles than on which road you end up on. These 6 shape almost every quote:
- US 22, the Lehigh Valley Thruway. The east–west spine. It slows at rush hour around the MacArthur Road, Airport Road and Route 309 interchanges and on the Lehigh River bridge, so a 4:30 p.m. pickup in Whitehall gets more cushion than a 10 a.m. one.
- I-78. From the Turnpike near Fogelsville past Allentown and Bethlehem to Easton, then over the river at Phillipsburg and on to Newark. Trucks from the warehouse corridor run on it all day.
- The Turnpike Northeast Extension (I-476). South toward Philadelphia, north to Wilkes-Barre/
Scranton, with the Lehigh Valley interchange at US 22 and I-78. Tolls are cashless, by E-ZPass or by plate. South of the Mid-County interchange it becomes the Blue Route down to I-95 near PHL. - PA 309. North–south through Allentown, Coopersburg and Quakertown, and the back way toward Philadelphia when the Turnpike is jammed.
- PA 33. North from the Easton area to Stroudsburg and I-80, which makes it the Poconos road.
- US 222. West to Kutztown and Reading.
A ride from Breinigsville to ABE takes about 25 minutes at 4 in the morning. The same ride at 7:30 on a weekday can take noticeably longer once Route 22 fills, so a weekday-morning pickup gets set earlier than a Saturday one.

Airports from the Lehigh Valley
For the shortest airport car service, Lehigh Valley International (ABE) is the pick. It’s in Hanover Township, just off Route 22 and Airport Road, about 15 minutes from our base. It has 1 terminal and is quick to get through, but most flights go to hubs or Florida, so plenty of trips connect. When you need a nonstop or an international flight, the bigger airports do the work.
TSA and the airlines generally say to arrive 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 before an international one. Work back from that, add the drive and a little margin, and you have the pickup time. Holiday weeks and Monday mornings at PHL run long, so those get extra room. Put the flight number on the request and dispatch will build the pickup around it. The table gives approximate drive times from Allentown in normal traffic.

| Airport | Plan on, from Allentown | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| ABE | 10 to 15 minutes | 1 terminal, mostly hub and Florida flights |
| PHL | 1 h 15 to 1 h 45 | Most international flights leave from Terminal A; afternoons slow on I-476 and I-95 |
| EWR | 1 h 15 to 1 h 45 | Nearly all I-78; the New Jersey approach is the slow part |
| JFK | 2 to 3 hours | Depends on the bridges and the Van Wyck; check your terminal the day before |
| LGA | 2 to 2 h 45 | George Washington Bridge and the Cross Bronx, or a tunnel and the RFK Bridge |
| TTN | About 1 h 15 | Trenton-Mercer in Ewing, small, few airlines |
| AVP | About 1 hour | Wilkes-Barre/ |

Venues, Campuses and the Valley Calendar
Where the Evenings Go
Drop-off at the PPL Center, Coca-Cola Park, SteelStacks, Wind Creek or Dorney Park is the easy half. The pickup after the crowd lets out is where planning pays off, so tell us roughly when the night ends.

College Towns
Lehigh, Lafayette, Muhlenberg, Moravian, DeSales and Cedar Crest are all in the Valley, along with Penn State Lehigh Valley, and Kutztown University is just west. That means move-in at the end of August, family weekends, commencement and a steady run of airport trips at every break.
Day Trips Out of the Valley
Historic Bethlehem, Easton and the covered bridges around the Valley make a day trip with 3 or 4 stops, one of the easier group trips to plan. Atlantic City is about 2½ hours away, Midtown Manhattan about 2, the Poconos up Route 33, Beaver Stadium about 3. Atlantic City, New York and the Poconos are laid out under day trips from the Lehigh Valley.
The Calendar
Snow and ice from December to March, earlier and heavier in the Poconos, and Eagles and Penn State in the fall. Proms, wedding Saturdays, Musikfest, move-in and the holiday airport rush are in the FAQ below; all of them reward an early request.

How a Lehigh Valley Quote Works
It’s the same 3 steps for a sedan to ABE or 3 coaches to State College. The more you put in the first message (stops, bags, the time you need to arrive), the fewer back-and-forth emails it takes.
Your Town and the Plan
Say which town the ride starts in, where it goes, how many are riding and with what bags, and whether the vehicle should wait or drop you and leave.
Hourly or a Single Trip
Dispatch checks Route 22 or I-78 at your hour and prices it hourly or as one trip. The quote, in writing, names the vehicle and how it handles tolls and gratuity.
Door, Time and a Contact
Agree to the quote and we pin down the exact door or cross street, the pickup time and your contact that day. Any stop added later needs its exact address too.
What to Send Us, and What the Price Is Built On
A good request answers 5 questions: where, when, how many, how many bags, and whether the car waits or leaves. Hourly bookings keep the vehicle and its chauffeur or driver with you and carry a minimum; airport and point-to-point runs are priced as a single trip. Other things that move a quote: the drive from Orefield to your pickup and back, tolls and parking, gratuity, and on overnight trips the driver’s hotel and hours. Your written quote lists how each of them is handled.

Where We Are
Our base is 2867 Post Rd in Orefield, northwest of Allentown and about 15 minutes from ABE. Trips are planned from here, which is why a pickup in Schnecksville and one in Easton can price a little differently.

Why Book Car Service in the Lehigh Valley, PA, with Us
Musikfest Fridays on the Hill-to-Hill Bridge and the 5 p.m. backup on Route 22 are already built into the pickup time.
Based in Orefield
We’re about 15 minutes from Allentown and from ABE, so Route 22 at rush hour, I-78 truck traffic and the Turnpike ramps are old news to us.
One Request, Any Size
A sedan for 2 or a coach for 56: the same form, the same people, one quote.
Always with a Chauffeur or Driver
Nothing here is self-drive. Every booking comes with someone behind the wheel whose job is getting your people there.
The Quote Comes in Writing
You see the price before anything is booked, and no card is ever taken on this website.
Timing Planned Backward
We start from the time that can’t move (a flight, a dinner reservation, a ceremony or a kickoff) and work back to the pickup, with room for traffic or a snowy morning.
Past the Valley, Still One Contact
When a trip starts somewhere else in the country, we arrange it through partner operators and you keep talking to us.
What a Valley Ride Costs
Inside the Valley, a quote follows vehicle size and time more than distance. A sedan to ABE is a short, flat run; a party bus on a Saturday in May is an hourly booking with a minimum.
Lehigh Valley Transportation Questions
Which towns count as the Valley, how far Philadelphia is, whether a train runs and how early to book are all answered below.
How Far Is the Lehigh Valley from Philadelphia?
Center City Philadelphia is roughly 55 to 65 miles from the Valley, depending on where you start, and the drive from Allentown usually takes about 1 h 15 to 1 h 30 on the Turnpike Northeast Extension. Route 309 is the slower back way through Quakertown. PHL sits a little farther out at 60 to 70 miles, so plan on 1 h 15 to 1 h 45 there, and more on a weekday afternoon. Bethlehem adds a few minutes and Easton about 15 to reach the Turnpike.
Is There a Train from Philadelphia to Allentown, PA?
Not today. No regular passenger train runs between Philadelphia and Allentown, so the realistic options are a scheduled bus, driving yourself or a booked car service. The Lehigh Valley has talked about bringing rail back for years, but plan without it for now. If you’re arriving on Amtrak at 30th Street Station, put the station as the pickup on your request and we’ll quote the ride to your Valley address.
What Is the Closest Airport to the Lehigh Valley, PA?
ABE, Lehigh Valley International, sits in the middle of it, between Allentown and Bethlehem, and most Valley addresses are 10 to 30 minutes away. For a nonstop it doesn’t offer or an international flight, PHL and Newark are each about 1 h 15 to 1 h 45 from Allentown. Our ABE car service page has the timing.
Which Towns Count as the Lehigh Valley?
The Lehigh Valley is Lehigh and Northampton counties: the cities of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, plus boroughs, townships and villages such as Emmaus, Macungie, Whitehall, Fogelsville, Breinigsville, Trexlertown, Schnecksville, Orefield, Coplay, Catasauqua, Northampton, Nazareth, Bath, Hellertown, Coopersburg and Center Valley. We also cover Berks, Bucks, Montgomery and Monroe counties next door. More towns, county by county, are on our service area page.
How Far Ahead Should I Book a Car or Bus in the Lehigh Valley?
As soon as you know the date and the headcount. A sedan to ABE can sometimes come together on short notice, but the big dates pull on the same limos, Sprinters and buses: prom weekends from April to June, Saturdays in wedding season, Musikfest in August, college move-in at the end of August, and the weeks around Thanksgiving and Christmas. An early request gives dispatch more vehicles to choose from, and the quote shows what’s open.
Do You Pick Up Outside the Lehigh Valley?
Yes. Berks, Bucks, Montgomery and Monroe counties are part of our area too, so Reading, Quakertown, Doylestown, King of Prussia and Stroudsburg pickups all work. So are New Jersey and New York, above all for airport runs, plus Connecticut and Massachusetts. A trip that starts farther away, like a hotel pickup in Washington, DC, or a group arriving in Orlando, goes through a partner operator that we arrange. The form is the same either way: send the trip and the quote will spell out the vehicle and the plan.
Can One Booking Cover Several Stops Around the Valley?
Yes, book it hourly. An hourly booking keeps the same car and chauffeur with you, so a day of site visits from Center Valley to Fogelsville to Bethlehem, or dinner on Hamilton Street followed by a show at SteelStacks, is a single reservation. Point-to-point pricing suits a straight run, like home to ABE. Hourly service carries a minimum, so list every stop and rough times, and the quote will show which option costs less.
Can You Pick Us Up at the Airport and Bring Us Home to the Valley?
Yes. Return rides from PHL, Newark, JFK, LaGuardia and ABE are booked the same way as the ride out. Give us the airline, the flight number and the scheduled landing time so dispatch can plan around it, and tell us how many bags are coming home. Where the chauffeur meets you differs by airport and is confirmed with the booking; the airports page covers the terminal side of each one.
