New Jersey car service: the Lower Manhattan skyline across the harbor from Governors Island

New Jersey and New York

New Jersey Car Service, New York Airports and the City

We run New Jersey car service and New York rides from the same Orefield dispatch as our Lehigh Valley trips: sedans to Newark, JFK and LaGuardia, Sprinters and coaches into Manhattan, limos and party buses for weddings. New Jersey starts about 45 minutes away and Midtown about 2 hours. Send the pickup for a written quote.

Quick Quote Start with the Trip Basics

New Jersey Car Service, Run from the Lehigh Valley

The New Jersey line is about 45 minutes from our door. I-78 crosses the Delaware just below Easton, and a Valley airport run simply keeps heading east from there, toward Newark, the New York airports, Princeton and the shore. New Jersey car service is booked the same way as a Valley ride, not as a special arrangement.

Pickups can start anywhere in the state. Some of the areas, with the roads that reach them:

  • Warren and Hunterdon: Phillipsburg, across the bridge from Easton, plus Washington, Clinton and Flemington along I-78 and Route 31.
  • Mercer and Somerset: Princeton, Hopewell, Bridgewater and the office parks on Route 1 and I-287.
  • Morris and Union: Morristown, Summit and the towns nearest Newark Airport.
  • Hudson: Hoboken and Jersey City, a few minutes from the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels.
  • Monmouth and the shore: Red Bank, Asbury Park and Long Branch, plus summer runs down the Parkway to Long Beach Island and Cape May.

We’re based in Orefield, so a pickup in Morristown or Red Bank carries the drive out to you. It shows up as a line on the quote, not as a surprise afterward.

Car Service from New Jersey to Newark and the New York Airports

Airport runs are where New Jersey car service earns its keep. Newark is the obvious one, but plenty of travelers in the state fly out of JFK or LaGuardia for a nonstop, or out of Trenton or Atlantic City for a short leisure route. Terminal notes for the closest hub are on our Newark airport car service page.

A car service from New Jersey to JFK crosses Staten Island or Manhattan, so the bridge or tunnel sets the timing and the tolls. LaGuardia trips usually take the George Washington Bridge, where the morning backup can add half an hour. The airports page covers JFK and LaGuardia together. Put the flight on the request and we’ll choose the crossing. The drive times below start from the Easton and Phillipsburg area: they shrink closer to New York and grow farther south.

From New Jersey to New York City

A car service from New Jersey to New York City is mostly a question of the crossing and the curb. Sedans and SUVs stop right at a hotel or office door. Coaches and minibuses let the group off, then park away from Midtown and come back at an agreed time, because a bus can’t wait at a Manhattan curb. For a group heading in for a show, a game or a holiday outing, a Sprinter often lands in the middle: it seats up to 14 and still stops close to the entrance.

A day planned around a show or a museum is laid out under New York City day trips, with the timing and the drop-offs.

Limos and Party Buses in New Jersey

Couples book limo service in New Jersey for weddings at shore venues and at estates in Hunterdon and Somerset, and families book it for proms all over the state. A stretch limousine seats up to 10 and a Sprinter limo up to 12. Larger groups book a party bus in New Jersey to keep 20 to 40 people together: a night out in Hoboken or Jersey City, a concert at MetLife Stadium, a birthday trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson.

A wedding day runs the way it does anywhere else: the ceremony time is fixed first and the rest of the schedule is planned around it. See wedding transportation for how a full day fits together and party bus rental for sizes and house rules.

New York Car Service, Booked from the Lehigh Valley

Our New York car service is built for trips that tie the state to somewhere else. A family lands at JFK after a week away and wants to be home in Allentown by dinner. A consultant wraps up in Midtown and has a client to see in Princeton. A wedding party flies into LaGuardia for a ceremony in Bethlehem. That is the New York car service we’re set up for: long runs across state lines, where one quote and one chauffeur beat stitching together a train, a transfer and a rental car.

We’re based in Orefield, about 2 hours from Midtown, so a New York pickup includes the drive in. For a quick ride across town and back, a local operator is usually the better deal, and we’ll say so.

Arrivals are the core of it: we plan the ride home from your flight number. Times below are to Allentown in ordinary traffic; Easton is about 15 minutes closer and Bethlehem a few minutes closer, and Kutztown and Reading add 30 to 45 minutes.

Car Service from New York to Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Plenty of trips run the other direction: a car service from New York to Pennsylvania for a Poconos weekend, a meeting in the Valley or a move to a new campus. Sedans and SUVs collect riders at the door of a hotel, an apartment building or an office tower, and a Sprinter for up to 14 takes a team or a family with luggage.

New Jersey follows the same pattern over shorter distances, whether it’s a ride from LaGuardia home to New Jersey after a business trip or a group going to a wedding in Somerset County. From NYC to Philadelphia, plan on about 2 hours by the New Jersey Turnpike; Center City hotels, the convention center and the stadiums all work as drop-offs.

Westchester and Long Island Airport Car Service

Smaller airports fit some trips better. A Westchester airport car service suits travelers in the northern suburbs or Fairfield County, and the terminal there is quick to get through. MacArthur, on Long Island, fits a trip that starts or ends out east. From Pennsylvania, both are longer drives than Newark, so when a trip begins in the Valley we’ll put the drive times side by side before you choose.

Groups and Days in the City

A motorcoach seats up to 56 with luggage bays underneath, and a minibus seats 24 to 35. From the city, a coach can also run a group to Atlantic City, closer to 2 h 30 to 3. We choose the pickup point so the bus can load without blocking traffic, and we set the return time with you. Coach sizes and the driver’s day are covered under charter bus rental.

Booking a New Jersey or New York Pickup

List the full pickup address, destination, date, the time that can’t move, headcount and bags, plus the flight number for an airport run. Send the request through the quote form and we’ll reply in writing with the vehicle, plan and price.

  1. Start East of the Delaware

Pickups can be a Princeton house, a Hoboken street or a Manhattan hotel. Send the exact address and, for a larger vehicle, a spot where it can stop legally.

  2. We Plan the Crossing

We choose the bridge or tunnel for your hour and price the trip. Tolls, any Manhattan congestion toll and the drive from Orefield are all part of the written quote.

  3. Confirm Across State Lines

Once it’s agreed, you’ll have the curb or meeting spot, the pickup time and who to call. Staying in the city later than planned? Ask for a later ride back.

What a New Jersey or New York Trip Costs

A trip east of the Delaware is priced the same way as a Valley ride. The tolls and the drive from Orefield get lines of their own, so you can see where the number comes from.

Every Trip Is Quoted, Not Guessed

Cars and buses booked by the hour have a minimum, airport runs are flat rates by vehicle, and long days are priced on the route itself.

New Jersey and New York Car Service Questions

Crossing the Delaware brings its own questions: New Jersey pickups, rides back from Manhattan and the airports, and what it adds to the price.

Do You Pick Up in New Jersey, or Only Drive There from Pennsylvania?

Both. New Jersey sits inside our service area, so a ride can begin at a house in Princeton, a hotel in Morristown or an office in New Brunswick, not only at the far end of a trip from the Valley. We’re based in Orefield, and the time it takes to reach you is part of the quote. For a very short local hop far from the Delaware, we’ll tell you plainly if a partner operator closer to you makes more sense.

How Early Should I Leave New Jersey for a Newark Flight?

Start from the airline’s advice, usually 2 hours before a domestic departure and 3 before an international one, then add the drive and a cushion for the Turnpike. From Princeton, Newark is often 45 minutes to an hour away; from Phillipsburg or Flemington, plan on about an hour, longer at rush hour. Put the flight number on the request and dispatch will suggest a pickup time.

How Long Is the Drive from JFK to Allentown, PA?

Usually 2 to 3 hours for roughly 100 miles. The first stretch is the variable: the Van Wyck or the Belt Parkway, then a bridge or tunnel out of the city. After that, I-78 across New Jersey is steadier, though westbound traffic out of Union County builds on weekday afternoons. A late-night landing is often closer to 2 hours, and a Friday evening arrival can run past 3. Put the flight number on the request so the pickup is planned around your landing.

Can You Pick Me Up in Manhattan and Drive Me to the Lehigh Valley?

Yes. A hotel, an office, Penn Station, Grand Central or a cruise terminal on the West Side all work. Give us the address and a time. Sedans and SUVs come to the door, while larger vehicles meet the group at a spot where they can stop legally. Manhattan tolls and any congestion toll appear on the quote.

Do You Run Car Service from LaGuardia to New Jersey?

Yes. From LaGuardia, most New Jersey trips cross the George Washington Bridge or run through Manhattan to the Lincoln Tunnel, depending on the hour. Northern New Jersey is often about an hour away; Princeton and the Hunterdon towns are closer to 1 h 30 to 2 hours. Send the flight and the drop-off address, and dispatch will plan the crossing.

Can a Party Bus Pick Up in Hoboken or Jersey City?

Usually, yes. Narrow residential streets in both cities can make the curb the tricky part, so send the exact address and, if you can, a spot where a large vehicle can stop for a few minutes. For bigger groups we sometimes suggest boarding on a nearby main road. Party bus rules, age limits and what can come on board are spelled out on the quote.

Do You Cover the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City?

Yes. Shore weddings, summer weekends in Cape May or on Long Beach Island and casino nights in Atlantic City all work. The Garden State Parkway backs up on summer Fridays and Sundays, so those hours go into the plan. For a full day at the casinos with a set return time, see Atlantic City trips.

What Does a New Jersey or New York Trip Add to the Price?

The base is the same as anywhere: the vehicle class, the hours or the miles, and the date. Trips here add tolls on the Turnpike, the Parkway and the Hudson crossings, any Manhattan congestion toll, and the vehicle’s travel time to a pickup far from the Valley. Every piece is listed on the written quote before you book, and how pricing works explains each one.
